ADVENTURE CHARTERS ABOARD GYPSY QUEEN

In mid June of 2008 Gypsy Queen http://www.viewyacht.com/gypsyqueen will depart Antigua for a summer of “adventure chartering” down island and on to Venezuela. Capt. Bob will host adventurous sailors seeking a cruising experience for two-week-long segments of the trip. A very minimal charter fee helps to keep Gypsy Queen in good working order and to assist Capt. Bob in staying afloat. All normal boat expenses and provisioning are then shared by all parties.

Gypsy Queen is an Island Packet 38, cutter rigged. She has two comfortable cabins and two heads with showers, and is a very comfortable and stable cruising vessel. The summer of 2007 was the first summer of “adventure chartering” for Gypsy Queen and Capt. Bob, and was such a success that they are doing it again.

Here are some suggestions for two week itineraries:
Antigua to St Lucia – last 2 wks of june
St Lucia to Grenada – july 1st
Grenada to St Lucia – mid july
St Lucia to Grenada – august 1st
Grenada to Los Roques (one week to get there – 2 overnight sails involved, one week cruising) - mid august
Cruising Los Roques - sept. 1st
Cruising Los Roques then passage (overnight sail, two days) to Puerto La Cruz – mid september

The charter fee is $3,000 for (two crew) persons, two weeks.
Capt. Bob asks for a $1,000 advance deposit toward expenses to be paid at time of boarding. Any unused expense monies will be refunded.
